Dumplings and that moment

Do you spend hours trying to find the ONE?

You think the best way to explore a city is to plan every moment before arriving, right?

We were returning to our Airbnb and needed a snack… no planning; I was hungry and tired. Doing over 30,000 steps per day through the streets of Copenhagen was starting to take its toll.

I just looked up and saw Goa Dumpling.

Yesssss!!!!

The red glow, music beats, and simplicity drew me in.

We sat down.

The menus were a simple tick-list, where you went up to the counter with your tick-list in hand to order.

The heavy beats and young vibe relaxed us; we had no expectations.

The dumplings arrived with a bowl full of spicy peanut noodles.

We bit into those pork dumplings, and my friend and I looked at each other, that knowing look; it was love right at that moment.

We didn’t stop talking about them for the rest of our trip.

We cancelled our Michelin-star restaurant last night and returned for dumplings. How could we not?

Those dumplings were just as magic as we remembered.

I always thought planning and researching before you go away meant you were ‘organised’ and got the most out of a city break. After returning from the break in Copenhagen, I think it’s time to ditch the organisation and take a moment to follow your instinct and explore.
