When Two Worlds Collide — And It’s Magic
Over Christmas, I met my brother in a small Greek café in Clifton, Bristol.
We always chat about coffee, food, travel, exercise, and boxing. But mostly, it’s about good food and great coffee.
He had told me about this Baklava Cheesecake — and even sent me pictures. I doubted it would work; surely, it would be too sweet.
What he didn’t tell me was that this café was the place.
I sat down, ordered coffee, and it arrived. The excitement was unreal. Baklava Cheesecake.
It was beautiful.
My brain was racing: How? What an insanely good combination—up there with the cronut.
How did this combination come to be?
Was it a happy accident, years of testing, just two great things put together, or simply a wonderful idea?
It got me thinking.
When I started my design studio, it was just another agency. But then, 15 years ago, I was asked to do the print and design work for the Chelsea Flower Show.
This was an opportunity to combine two worlds I loved:
Hospitality and design.
Some combinations just work.
In fact, they’re magic.
We are Designed by Ness — a design studio for the food, events, and hospitality industry.
